New Tales of The Great Wall

t was a hot sunny day, when Katrina the cat and Snowy her dog friend were playing together on a
mountain near the Great wall of China. They were playing catch until Katrina ran up to the Great
Wall of China. Snowy followed close behind Katrina. Katrina stopped when she was in front of
the great wall and Snowy stood beside her. Then they saw people walking on the Great Wall.

“
Snowy, do you think this is a bridge or something?” Katrina spoke up.
“
Hmmm, I think this is the Great Wall of China!” Snowy answered.

“
Wow!’ said Katrina in excitement.
“
Snowy, can we go and walk on it?”
“
Well Katrina, I am not sure if they allow pets or animals.” Snowy replied.
“
What a shame!” Katrina sighed.
Suddenly Snowy got an idea. “I know! We can come here at night time then we can sneak in
without being noticed! How does that sound?”
“
Great! But do you know how to sleep on a mountain?” Snowy asked with doubt.
They came here at night, when they got to the Great Wall, it wasn’t a great wall it was a great
dragon. When the dragon’s head reached Snowy and Katrina, they were so scared that they nearly fell
off the mountain but they didn’t. “PHEW!”
Then the Great Dragon said, “Don’t worry, I’m kind. Do you want to hear about the history of the
Great Wall?”
“
Of course!” Katrina and Snowy said at once.
“
It all just started when Emperor Qin Shi Huang became the First Emperor of China. There was a
battle of fighting and the Emperor was very angry about the enemies. So he decided to make the Great
Wall. The Chinese worked on the wall for over 1700 years ago. The Great Wall was even built under
water. The whole great wall was 5500 miles. It’s all done and that’s the story of the Great Wall.”
Dragon said proudly.
“
Wow the history about the great wall is so MAGNIFICENT!” Katrina and Snowy exclaimed.
“
Yes, it is.” The dragon said happily.
“
Katrina, it’s so amazing, isn’t it?” Snowy asked.
“
Yes. Great!”Katrina replied.
This is a secret; never tell anyone otherwise my magic will run off. Do you want to come here
every night and I will tell you different tales of the great wall?” The dragon asked.
“
Fine.” Katrina and Snowy said curiously.
“
So you want to come here every night? The Dragon checked them just in case.
“
Yes, of course.” Katrina and Snowy replied.
“
Great I love to tell tales about the Great Wall.” Dragon said excitedly.
“
Done, everything settled.” everyone said.
“
Oh! And it’s time to go.” Katrina said.
“
Oh, yes it’s time.”Snowy repeated looking at the sky, the sun was rising.
So whenever it was night time they went to the great wall and the dragon told them the tales about
the Great Wall.
